"I was wrongfully accused of a domestic violence crime. Mr. Kover showed the prosecutor that I was actually the victim of the crime, and my case was dismissed." -HP, Olympia, WA
"A person convicted of a serious crime was working within our government and I spoke out about it on Facebook. That person put a protection order on me that gagged me from raising the issue. Then she sued me for libel even though I was telling the truth. Justin pushed the case to trial and got my protection order lifted and the libel case dismissed." -AL, Indian Country
"Justin Kover served as housing counsel at the Lower Elwha Housing Authority. His advice was of great value to us in performing our mission. He stood out to us for his ability to ensure our Tribal members were aware of their housing rights." -Will Sanchez, former Board Chairman, Lower Elwha Housing Authority
"My husband and I dedicated our lives to helping medical marijuana patients access their medicine in the days when marijuana was illegal. We built a successful non-profit aiding patients in the access of their medicine. When I-502 made marijuana "legal" the medical providers like us were all forced to close. But we didn't, and our lives were turned upside down when the Thurston County Narcotics Task Force built a case on our business. Charged with a felony, our legal I-502 license at another store was put in danger. Our partners turned on us and we faced jail and the loss of all the value in our share of our business.
We needed a lawyer who would be there when our backs were against the wall and we found that in Justin. He took a firm stance that if we couldn't plea to a misdemeanor then there would be a trial no matter what. We pled to a misdemeanor and that allowed us to keep our 502 license. Justin then negotiated the sale of our shares to our partners, and now we are moving on without having to start from scratch. If your back is against the wall and you need to fight or die, call Justin." -SH, -Thurston County
"One night my man and I were out at the club and we got in an argument. Some people who didn't know what was going on called the police and I was charged with domestic violence.
Mr. Kover took my case. He offered me a flat fee which was great because I'm a working mom. In the end my case was fully dismissed and my record is clean to this day. I recommend Justin Kover to anyone in a jam." -MS, -Thurston County
"I had a tough time a few years ago and was going to be evicted from my house. I agreed to leave and to pay the back rent when I could, about $2300. Two years later my Tribe came back and said I had to pay $60,000 for a meth cleanup and other damage that happened after I moved out! The Tribe sued me and the Court assigned Justin to my case.
The Tribe's offer immediately went down to $25,000 but Justin said that wasn't good enough. He said we had a deal for $2300 and we wouldn't budge for anything. Finally we went to Court and the Court sided with us. Justin showed that there were police responses to the house after I moved out, that there was a car crash after I moved out that they wrongfully wanted to charge me the repairs, and that the Tribe didn't do an initial meth test before I moved in. The Court didn't even make me pay the $2300, saying the Tribe could come back for that if they wanted. So Justin wrote a letter to the Tribal Attorney and to Tribal Council asking them to let it go, and they did! Thanks Justin!" -ML, -Indian Country
